Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is the third leading cause of death in the United States. The use of spirometry in primary care can be challenging due to time limitations with the patient, staff turnover and the high volume of case loads.This multi-part, longitudinal activity presents a hands-on approach to provide each learner individual opportunities to review practical information and receive immediate feedback from specialists to prepare the provider to more efficiently utilize spirometry in a family medicine environment.
